Molly M

a safe space for learning

About Me

Hadih! My name is Molly Mabbett (they/them) and I am a new teacher working in a 6/7 classroom. I am currently residing between the unceded traditional territory of the Lheidli T’enneh First Nation in Prince George, BC, and the traditional territory of the McLeod Lake Indian Band and the Tse’Khene peoples in Mackenzie, BC, but grew up in a small town in Saskatchewan on Treaty 6 land.

My desire to become a teacher has been with me for as long as I can remember, it was sometimes in competition with becoming a dental hygienist (around grade 4) and an astronaut (around grade 11) but it ultimately won out. I have had some amazing teachers throughout my educational career that continue to inspire me even after so many years. I want to make the classroom a safe space for students and to share the joy of learning.

I love to travel, paint, sew, and so much more! I hope that I am able to bring love, fun, and creativity into the classrooms that I have the privilege to be in.
