Hadih! My name is Molly Mabbett (they/them) and I am a new teacher working in a 5/6 classroom. I am currently residing on the unceded traditional territory of the Lheidli T’enneh First Nation in Prince George, BC, but grew up in a small town in Saskatchewan on Treaty 6 land.
My desire to become a teacher has been with me for as long as I can remember, it was sometimes in competition with becoming a dental hygienist (around grade 4) and an astronaut (around grade 11) but it ultimately won out. I have had some amazing teachers throughout my educational career that continue to inspire me even after so many years. I want to make the classroom a safe space for students and to share the joy of learning.
I love to travel, paint, sew, and so much more! I hope that I am able to bring love, fun, and creativity into the classrooms that I have the privilege to be in.
