The Guardian Involvement Standard
Educators value the involvement and support of parents, guardians, families and communities in schools.
“Educators understand, respect and encourage the participation of families and communities in student learning and development. Educators consider the perspectives of parents/guardians regarding their children. Educators communicate effectively and in a timely manner with parents/guardians.” Reads the description of Standard 4 from the BCTC PDF.
A huge part of Minecraft are the servers that you play on. When you exist in a server with other people you have to be aware of the impact you have on others as well as the impact that others have on you! Most servers have rules that you must follow in order to be welcome there. The community that can be built within a server is one of the most important things when playing online.
The community supporting a student exists both in and out of a school setting and it is the educator’s responsibility to keep all of the communities involved and updated.
